The Body Shop British Rose Collection For Mother’s Day, I couldn’t think of anything more luxurious and fitting than giving a gift from The Body Shop British Rose range. This gorgeous rose inspired collection comprises of a bunch of body care and makeup items, and we’ve been lucky enough to try a few.

Personally I’m not the biggest fan of rose scents, but even I think this range smells amazing. Maybe the fact that the roses used are 100% organically grown helps? The roses themselves are even hand-picked, air-dried and infused into fresh mountain water on-site. That to me is so impressive and no doubt contributes to a very high quality rose essence.

The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel* – RRP: $16.50 NZD

The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel

The Body Shop shower gels are probably my favourite shower gels ever and I’m constantly raving about the Satsuma & Vineyard Peach ones. I almost always choose the fruity scents, so it was actually nice trying one of the floral ones for a change!

Like I said above, I’m not a huge fan of rose scents – but this one is definitely the best I’ve ever smelt. I love how refreshed and clean the shower gels make you feel, there’s nothing quite as nice.

The Body Shop British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter* – RRP: $36.95 NZD

The Body Shop British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter

Body butters are always a firm favourite of mine, so it goes without saying that this is amazing. It leaves the skin feeling exceptionally smooth and soft. I don’t really know if it gives an all over healthy glow like it states – but like all body butters, it’s one of the nicest moisturisers I’ve used.

In the tub it smells quite strong, and a little overwhelming if I’m honest – but on the skin it’s incredible. The scent is much lighter and just leaves you smelling deliciously feminine.

The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stains* – RRP: $35.50 NZD

The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stains

The new Lip & Cheek Stains from The Body Shop are the perfect product if you’re after a really fresh, natural look. As the name suggests they can be used as a blush on the cheeks, or as a beautiful stain on the lips. There are 7 shades available, and we have 3 of them: 001 Pink Hibiscus, 003 Red Pomegranate & 029 Deep Berry.

The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stains Swatches

Pink Hibiscus is a gorgeous medium pink, Red Pomegranate is a gorgeous true red and Deep Berry is a gorgeous dark berry shade. They’re all super easy to apply & blend and are actually pretty pigmented considering they’re just stains. I’m really impressed. They’re non-drying and really long-lasting – I can honestly see these being a massive hit for the warmer months, or days when you can’t really be bothered wearing much makeup.

Pink Hibiscus on the cheeks, Red Pomegranate on the lips

To apply to the cheeks all you need to do is dot it on, and blend with the fingertips. Keep in mind that these are best applied before you use any powder products. For the lips, just paint it on as you would a lip gloss. The applicators make it incredibly easy to follow the lip line and get a nice crisp edge, which is really nice as other stains I’ve tried in the past can be a bit fiddly. Highly recommend.

The Body Shop British Rose Nail Colour* – RRP: $12.95 NZD

The Body Shop British Rose Nail Colour

I’ve never actually tried nail polishes from The Body Shop before, so it was super exciting trying this one in British Rose. The shade is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a very light pink, and is quite sheer so if you want an opaque colour you’re going to need about 3 coats.

This is such a good colour when you just want your nails to look pretty, professional and polished. If your workplace has a problem with nail art (crazy, I know – but it’s a thing!) then this would be the perfect shade to wear.

And that sums up our review of The Body Shop British Rose collection. Mums will no doubt love this, and make sure you head in store or online to see the full range which also includes an eye and cheek palette, bath foam and gift sets!
