The MAC Snow Ball collection has taken us all by storm. There are so many gorgeous products in the collection, but for me, the highlight of the whole collection is the MAC Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Kit.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen MAC do mini lipsticks. I actually have the nude set they released as part of the 2016 holiday collection, and love it. As soon as I saw the MAC Snow Ball range, I knew this was the one thing I needed.
The MAC Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Kit (RRP: $170.00 NZD) contains 12 gorgeous MAC Classics lipsticks: Party Commencing, Little Darling, Please Me, Mangrove, Ruby Woo, Rebel, Flat Out Fab, Good Kisser, Diva, Velvet Teddy, Whirl and Stone.
Each of the lipsticks comes in matching metallic packaging, and you get 1.8g/0.06oz of lipstick in each one. A regular MAC lipstick contains 3g/0.1oz of product, so these are really generous sized minis. They’re actually perfect to throw in your handbag for touch ups, and the smaller bullet makes these easier to apply.
Party Commencing is a clean, matte, light neutral pink. It might be a little too pale for me to wear on it’s own, but would look amazing paired with another shade.
Little Darling is a clean, matte, light nude and I LOVE this shade so much. It’s definitely a shade I will get a lot of wear out of.
Please Me is a muted, rosy-tinted pink in a matte finish. This is another shade I will wear a lot, it’s just so pretty.
Mangrove is a matte, hot bright red with a matte finish. It’s a very pretty, very bright red that I’m sure will appeal to a lot of red lip lovers out there.
Ruby Woo is a very matte vivid blue red. This has to be one of the most popular MAC lipstick shades, but strangely enough I’ve never owned it. Now that I have it, I love it. It’s definitely my kinda red and I can finally see what all the fuss was about.
Rebel is a satin, mid-tone cream plum. Despite my love of purple shades, I think this might be one of my least favourites. It’s a little streaky, but is still beautiful once you build it up.
Flat Out Fab is a matte bright plum, and I am definitely a fan. This is such a beautiful purple. I love it! It’s definitely something I would wear when I want a bit of colour.
Good Kisser is a matte mid-tone fuchsia. If you’re a bright lip fan, you’re definitely going to love this. It’s such a nice colour for Summer.
Diva is a matte intense reddish burgundy. I’m fairly certain I have this in my collection already (you know you’ve got a problem when you can’t remember which shades you already have) but it’s not a colour I wear that often. I still really love having it, especially in this handbag-friendly size, as this is a colour I have to top up all the time.
Velvet Teddy is a deep-tone matte beige. If you do not already own Velvet Teddy, you need it. Seriously this is one stunning lipstick. It’s the kind of shade you could pair with any look, and it will always look great.
Whirl is a dirty matte rose and along with Velvet Teddy, is my favourite of the bunch. It’s just so gorgeous! I think this is the third Whirl in my collection now and I’m not sorry about it.
Stone is a muted greyish matte taupe brown. This one is definitely out of my comfort zone, but after trying it I can honestly say that I am OBSESSED. It’s such a cool shade!
All in all, I can’t get over how amazing the MAC Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Kit is. Even the box, which is a beautiful rose gold, is stunning. Imagine pulling this out of your stocking on Christmas morning – it can’t get any better than this.
If you want to get your hands on this, you better act fast as I’ve heard this is selling out pretty much everywhere.
Did you manage to get your hands on this? Have you bought anything else from the MAC Snow Ball collection?
